Papua New Guinea

On September 15, having flown over a half of the globe and overcome all organizational obstacles, the team arrived in Port Moresby — the capital of Papua New Guinea, and then to Madang, one of the largest cities in the country. And from there on the yacht «Kalibobo» travelers went to the northeast coast of the New Guinea island, which today bears the name Rai Coast (the historical name is Maclay Coast).

Australia

The surname Miklouho-Maclay is inextricably linked to Australia. Nikolay Nikolaevich lived and worked here, founded the first in the country biological station in Sydney, which served as a powerful impetus for studying marine flora and fauna. Here Nikolay Nikolaevich married Margaret Robertson, the daughter of the Prime Minister of the South Wales province. Thus, Australia really became his second homeland.
